FOOD PARTY

In September, the Leitão Festival takes place, a gastronomy and crafts fair.

ANTIQUES FAIR

Every second Sunday of each month, the antiques fair takes place.

CULTURAL FRIDAYS

Every second Friday of each month, from January to June, a quality show at the Cine-Teatro São Pedro.

"THE EARED GESTURE" FESTIVAL

Taking place annually throughout the month of October, a festival with a diverse program that combines music, theater, clowning, humor, dance, bringing together groups of artists from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Brazil and Australia.

The municipality’s gastronomy is abundant and diverse.

The roast suckling pig gives it its own identity. Add also the rojões, the lampantana with lamb or goat meat, the rabbit "à la Águeda", including cod "à Lagareiro" (in the oven), "albardado" (fried and with onion sauce) and "à Ribeirinho" (fried).

Cornbread, country soup, farmer's broth and saffron rice are also among the delicacies that the land has to offer. In the sweets, where sugar, eggs and almonds abound, the specialties include fuzis, sequilhos, Easter cake, "barrigas de freira" and typical Águeda pastries.
