The nearby villages such as Carvalhal, Macieira de Alcoba, Urgueira and Ventoso, still maintain their original construction, and the purity of community life, rich in ethnographic traditions. In each one of these villages, the visitor relives the past with signs of rural life, like the oven, the threshold, the water tank and the typical baskets.
